Throughout time the lotus flower has been a powerful spiritual symbol. A lotus has its roots in mud, at the bottom of streams and ponds. But it grows to become the most beautiful and fragrant flower despite its origins. It symbolizes how we too can overcome all obstacles on our journey towards enlightenment and flourish. It also represents growth, spiritual development, peace of mind and inner beauty.

Our mission is to positively impact the lives of every person that we meet in order to help them to become productive citizens and prepare them for the workforce.
Our vision is to help people overcome their pain and shame by nurturing and helping them look beyond their past and walk into their future.
Our history
The Truth About Beauty, Inc. is an organization that was birth by our Founder, Cheryl Bloodsaw-Baker with divine revelation from God. Cheryl was a victim of sex trafficking when she was a teenager. Cheryl carried the shame of what she had been through with her into her adult life until one day she decided to tell her story. At that point she was no longer a victim, or just a survivor, she was a victor. She had and still has the victory. She no longer allows her past to dictate who she is or who she can become.
In November 2020, she accepted the call from God to begin an organization to help other women and girls like herself. The goal for The Truth About Beauty Inc is to help other women and young ladies who have gone through painful experiences such as sex and human trafficking, child molestation, domestic abuse, child abuse and substance abuse, to realize their worth and to find their place in society, to know that they have the victory too. Our passion is to let them know that they have nothing to be ashamed of because they have done nothing wrong. God spoke to Cheryl on November 18th, 2024, and said its time to add men and boys to the organization as they are hurting too, and often, their voices go unheard. It is our desire for every person, no matter their age, to know The Truth About Beauty.
